Why Choose a Legends Rat?
Pet store rats come from animal mills, much like puppy mills or bad breeders and are bred just for money, so they are usually antisocial or they die an early death because cancer or other serious health issues. Those places are so bad some animals arrive dead in the box. I can't tell you how many times someone contacted me interested in baby rats but couldnt wait for them to be old enough to be adopted out. So they go to a pet store and buy their kid the rat in the window, then 2 or 3 weeks later they tell me their rats died or they were very sick or not social.
There are many people around who grab any pet store rat that is a pretty color or any rat who just happens to look at them and breed them just to make babies because theyre cute or for their colors and markings and that is not any reason to breed them. You can usually tell that they are pet store rats if they have no Prefix( like mine is LORR) in front of the rats name listed on their website, if the rat has no pedigree, and if the majority of the rats are very common colors such as Agouti, Black, Beige, and Pink Eyed White . Since those rats originated from pet stores they are no better. Now some people get lucky with awesome pet store rats but they are few and far between and you just never know so I wouldnt take the chance. Some breeders just suck, They breed strictly for markings and color instead of health and temperament. They may say they breed for all of the good reason but they dont. If they dont have a good informational website you can almost guarantee they are a bad breeder or just a very inexperienced one. No peds, no pics, no info, and a poorly put together site are a no go.
I admit I've gotten a pet store rat or 2 in my day but they were absolutely perfect in every way and the first few generations stayed in the rattery. Legends rats are bred to be healthier, sweeter, and longer lived than the rats from the places mentioned above. Each litter is carefully planned to better the rats in one form or another and we take pride in our fuzzies. We know we are not perfect but we are striving to get as close to perfect as we can!

Transport
I sometimes travel to Atlanta to transport and sometimes have people transport to me. Columbia Sc adopters have to come to Augusta to pick up there babies and sometimes transport for me. I have someone from Orlando Florida who can transport for me Occasionally and drop off babies along the way through Ga and in Florida on her way home to Orlando.
